Use This IKEA Hack to Spruce Up Your Plant Shelfie

Raise your hand if plants and flowers just make you a happier person - that’s me!! Indoor plants are so important to me because their colors and smell transport me to a magical land - the land where the sun is always beaming and huge banana leaves brush my face. Today we’re focusing on small upgrades to make your plant *shelfie* a tad bit cuter. We used an IKEA table runner to create cute little baskets to go over the plastic plant container. This IKEA hack is so simple, and one table runner will make at least five baskets. DIY Pom Pom Pillows

If you don’t know by now, Lauren and I are obsessed with pom poms. Discovering the almighty pom pom maker when we first started HonestlyWTF a few years ago was an absolute game changer. Pom pom birthday garlands, pom pom gift tags, pom pom luggage tags, pom pom beanies, pom pom bag charms . . . for awhile there wasn’t a single thing protected from our pom pom craze. Except pillows. After recently lusting over a traditional Moroccan blanket, adorned with giant, fluffy pom poms, I was instantly inspired. DIY God’s Eyes

Who knew that god’s eyes, which originated from Mexico’s Huichol Indians, can be so beautifully complex, incredibly dramatic, and so wonderfully therapeutic? There couldn’t be a better time to share the positive vibes of a protective god’s eye than the holidays – use them as present toppers, hang them as ornaments or simply gift them as is. Inspired by artist Jay Mohler‘s Ojo de Dios mandalas, we’re showing you a more complicated version today – be patient, it’s totally worth the time to learn how to master them.
